Where can I see the location my employees reported from?
Some organizations require mandatory location information about their employees reports.
If the employee reports from the web the location is taken via IP address.
If the employee reports from their cellular device - the location is taken via GPS.
In order for the employee to be able to send location data - please see the guide about enabling location data for Proper Time.
In order to see your employees location during their attendance report - go to Reports> System reports > Hour report
Chose the employee/s you would like to run the report on and select a time period for the reports.
You can also filter your results by organizational units, customers, projects , tasks and comments.
Finally, click the "Search" button.
The results:
On the far right side you will see the device the report was made from:
* A serial number for attendance clocks.
* An IP for web reports.
* A cellular IP for cellular reports.
By clicking the location icon - a map will open showing the employee's location during the report.
****Please note that a map will not open if there was no location information sent during the report( this could result from employee not enabling location data or reporting
with location data not set as mandatory in organization settings).
