When there's a date that requires a different set of calculation rules, you can setup rules for that specific date in a new profile row.
Example:
A company decides it would like to celebrate Juneteeth with a day off on June 19th - so instead of 9 hours workday, that date becomes a non workday with 0 required hours).
Note: any change done to work profiles affects immediately - if you need a change to be effective from a certain date, you can setup a new work profile and assign it to the relevant employees from the required date.
To set special rules for a specific date:
- Click "Management" on the menu.
- Click "Work Profiles" link on the page.
- Click "Edit" on the work profile you'd like to change.
- Add a work profile row, that will include the changes we need according to the example above:
- Click the "Add new row" button (below the work profile rows table) - A new empty row is added at the bottom of the table.
- Set the precedence to 0 (zero) in order to define that this row supersedes all other rows if we find the date specified.
- Set a Name (optional) - can be "Juneteeth"
- Under day type column, select "Specific dates" and enter the dates you'd like these rules to be activated - for our example June 19th, 2020 should be written as 19/06/2020 to adhere to the format dd/mm/yyyy meaning two digits for day, two for month and four for the year).
Note: multiple dates can share the same rule. If you'd like two dates with the same settings write them both separated with a comma with no spaces (e.g. 19/06/2020,19/06/2021). - Fill in the rest of the fields in this row according to rules you'd like to set. For our example, we should only set 0 required hours.
- Save the work profile with the changes.
