Some organizations require mandatory location information about their employees reports.

If the employee reports from the web the location is taken via IP address.

If the employee reports from their cellular device - the location is taken via GPS.

In order for the employee to be able to send location data - please see the guide about enabling location data for Proper Time.


to enable the location of your employee's organizational reporting (for all employee's in your organization), go to  "management" > "organization settings":


click on the row labeled "Default values", you will open a panel, towards the end of the pane there is an area called "Location settings". 

in this area you must make sure that the data marked are: 



then click on the line labeled  "Additional modules" and highlight the "Show Location Data" line: 


to enable location data for a particular employee, you need to go to "management'> "Employees":


select the employee using the "Edit" button: 



this will put us in the employees details.

on the employee details screen, go to the line "save location data in report" and mark the line "mandatory (don't allow reporting when location is unavailable)" :



and of course do not forget to save in the screen below using the "save" button:
